Accuracy of John Heine Precision Die Sets
All John Heine Precision Die Sets are guaranteed against faulty workmanship and materials and the standard of accuracy is equal to or better than International Standard Specifications.
All components undergo rigid flow line inspection during their manufacture and the completed die set is thoroughly checked for accuracy after assembly. Here are the tolerances to which every die set must measure before leaving our works:
Top and Bottom Plates
Flat and parallel to within: .001 " up to 6" in length; .0015" up to 12" in length; .002" over 12" in length.
Pins and Bushes
Working clearance between pin and bush .0002" to .0003" (light oil clearance). Squareness of Guide Pins .0002" per linear inch of length in any direction.
Assembled Die Set
Checked with parallels between plates—.001 " up to 6" in length; .0015" up to 12" in length; .002" over 12" in length.
